I Am Hip Hop: The Chicago Hip Hop Documentary

This is the Preview for "I Am Hip Hop: The Chicago Hip Hop Documentary." The documentary was shot, directed, and edited by Geoff Harkness. The theme song was written and recorded by Dynamic Vibrations. Production by Wes Restless. This documentary was filmed from 2004-2008 and offers a snapshot of Chicago's underground rap music scene during this period. More than 130 Chicago hip hop artists were interviewed and more than 500 live shows were recorded. The shoot also included studio sessions, radio shows, and other hip hop related events. The documentary held its world premiere on Dec. 15, 2008 at the Portage Theater in Chicago. It was also released the same day as a double DVD. The two-DVD includes the original film plus nearly four hours of extras, outtakes, deleted scenes, live footage, photo galleries, and more.
